Anthology Webseries

Kady is a member of a UCLA-based Southeast Asian American film collective, Same Same but Different (SSBD). The collective produces an anthology web series, of the same name, with each webisode depicting a self-contained story about Southeast Asian American characters.

The film collective/web series is created and produced by Myra Aquino.

Our Mission

SSBD is intended for consumption by audiences around the world, in an effort to humanize and express the complexities of modern Southeast Asian American lives. We believe that SSBD has the potential to make a significant contribution to the online content community. It is a timely, relevant, and under-told story that speaks to many complex social and cultural issues facing immigrant, minority, and young communities. Grounded in the exploration of the universal issue of identity, the story has the ability to reach far beyond these communities and connect with more general audiences.
